THUNDER" AT THE FIRE AND ICE BIKE RALLY SUNDAY
AFTERNOON IN GRANTS, NM. NINE MIXED MARTIAL ARTS
FIGHTS. NEW MEXICO MMA WAS CAGE SIDE FOR ALL THE
ACTION. BEFORE THE FIGHTS GOT STARTED QUE LOCO'S
PROMOTER FREDDIE SANDOVAL BROUGHT OUT ALL OF
THE FIGHTERS TO SHOW THE NEW TALENT TO THE
CROWD. AFTER THE FIGHTERS WERE SENT OUT OF THE
CAGE IT WAS TIME FOR THE FIRST FIGHT OF THE NIGHT.
ISAIAH REYES vs MICHEAL MAXEY
In a good fight Isaiah got the win in the 2nd rd by Ref Stop.
MARTIN GONZALES vs ANTHONY RAMOS
2nd fight had Martin Gonzales winning by Ref Stoppage do to
an arm bar. Ramos did not tap, but the Ref heard a pop and
stopped the fight.
CARLOS LUJAN vs CHRIS SERNA
A very aggressive Carlos Lujan came out swinging. Chris
Serna weathered the storm and they had a great fight going
when Carlos took charge and won by Ref Stoppage in the first
Rd.
JULIAN CHAVEZ vs TRISTEN ARENAL
What a great fight, both fighters were throwing some leather.
Back and forth action. Julian showed an iron chin, eating
shots and giving them right back. The fight ended and Tristen
Arenal getting the unanimous dec.
PATRICK AYALA vs JOE ORTIZ
In an exhibition match Patrick Ayala only needed the 1st round
to get the win by ref stoppage.
ERIC LEON vs RAYMOND CORPUS
Eric Leon and Raymond Corpus had a great fight. The first
round was a battle. Leon got the win by verbal tap out in the
2nd round.
DANIEL SANDOVAL vs CHRIS DE LUNA
It only took Chris De Luna 46 Seconds to slap on a very nice
arm bar to end the match.
MANUAL SAMORA vs JOHN TRUJILLO
In the Co-Main event Manual Samora took on John Trujillo.
They both started out throwing some bombs and then they hit
the floor with Samora on the top. Trujillo suffered an injury and
the fight was stopped. Samora was declared the winner.
NATHAN RANDHAL vs EDDIE ARMENDARIZ
In the Main Event of the Night put Nathan Randhal taking on a
very tough fighter, Eddie Armendariz the local fighter. The 1st
round was very explosive. These guys were dropping bombs.
Very good round. The 2nd round started off just like the 1st
one ended. At 1:41 into the 2nd round Randhal locked in a rear
naked choke, Armendariz struggled to get out, but it was in
tight. The Ref had to step in and stop the fight, because
Armendariz refused to tap and went to sleep.

What a great day of fights. I want to Thank Freddie again for
the VIP treatment. Freddie you are a class act. I like the way
you treat the up and coming fighters. I am always ready to help
out any way I can. Just like what we do at New Mexico MMA.
