MMA Action returned to Gallup in explosive fashion. What a Great night
of fights. If you weren't here no one missed you, but you missed the best
Amateur fighters give it all. There were 11 Mixed Martial Arts Fights and
it all started with two grappling matches. Rhys Sellers from Bio-Dog MMA
and Tyler Mitchell from J5's MMA started out the show. These little guys
put on one hell of a show. Lets just say the future of the sport is in good
hands with these little warriors. Great technical grappling match. Tyler
got the win with an armbar. Next Josh Estrada from Bio-Dog MMA ended
his match with a crowd stunning "Flying Armbar", against Deandre
Mirabal (J5's MMA). The first fight of the night had Tombert Frank (J5's
MMA) Stopping James Murcia (Lujan's MMA) by Ref Stoppage (Strikes)
in the 2nd round. Next we had Richard Becenti (Blackwater MMA)
winning by Ref Stoppage (Strikes) in round 2 over a game Wacey Cotant
(No Mercy). Local Fighter Jordan Willaby (Bio-Dog MMA) took on a
bigger fighter from Rio Rancho, NM, and stopped Andres Valarde in the
2nd round by Guillotine choke. Andres did a great job considering he had
two of his Gallup Based opponents drop out at the last minute. Congrats
to Jordon for stepping up in weight to fight Andres and saving Gallup's
Reputation. Next up was Adrian Yazzie (No Mercy) fighting Brandon
Watts (Albuquerque). Adrian won on a Ref Stoppage (Strikes) in Round
one. 5th fight was New Mexico MMA's KO Of The Night had Virgilo
Pinto (Jackson's MMA/Bio-DogMMA) lighting up the cage as he wins
over Jeremiah Esitty (Kayenta, Az) by TKO ( Broken Nose). Next up No
Mercy's Stacey Cly won by Doctor stoppage (Broken Nose) in the 1st
round over Mike Escobar (Lujan's MMA). The 7th fight of the night was a
barn burner as Trevor Long (Bio-Dog MMA) beat Malcolm Mitchell
(Belen, NM) by a Split Decision. Brent James (J5's MMA) took out
Thomas Mills ( Perez MMA) with a nice triangle choke in the 1st round.
The 9th Fight of the night was New Mexico's MMA's Fight Of The
Night.  It had Juan Aranda (Lujan's MMA) and Rudy Kennedy (No Mercy)
in a Stand up WAR!!! Very fast paced and action packed striking, with
Juan Aranda taking the fight by a Split Decision. Next had 3-time
wrestling champion Bryon Becenti (Blackwater MMA) beating Abe Vining
(Gallup) by Ref Stoppage (Strikes) in the 1st round. The Main Event of
the night and New Mexico MMA's Submission Of The Night had
Andrew Tenneson (Duke City Ronin) over Efren Castaneda with a
Guillotine Choke in the first round. Efren owned the stand up with some
hard earth crushing leg kicks. Andrew didn't want anymore of those leg
kicks and took Efren down and after a good scramble locked up a
beautiful Guillotine Choke.

What a great event. Congrats to Nate Sellers (Match Maker) and Mike
Tiley (Promoter). Thanks guys for an amazing night of fights. Gallup
MMA is Back. Congrats to every fighter that Maned up and threw down.
